According to the "Information on the implementation of priority projects in the field of tourism" which was considered by the Government at its last session last year, in the continuation of the construction of Porto Montenegro in the period from January 1 to November 30, 2021, the investor, the company "Adriatic Marinas" from Tivat behind which is owned by the state investment corporation from Dubai ICD, invested a total of 58.286.000 euros.
Currently, the emphasis is on the construction of a new complex of luxurious residential and commercial buildings, Boka Place, with a total area of about 75.000 square meters, which is being built in the northern part of Porto Montenegro, near the Jadranska magistrala. The elimination of small defects in the already built large underground garage of this complex with a capacity of 300 parking spaces is in progress, and as for the new condo-hotel "Siro" category 5 stars, in its blocks 1 and 3 the construction of the final, seventh floor is in progress. while on block 2, the fifth floor is currently under construction, and on block 4, work is underway on the seventh floor.
According to the dynamic plan, all rough construction works on the construction of blocks 1 and 3 will be completed during February, and a month later the works on blocks 2 and 4. The contractor, the company "Bemax" from Podgorica, is currently working on the ground floor of residential blocks 5 and 6, where the construction of all planned floors will be completed in July.
Intensive work is also being done on two additional facilities - Supermarket & Gym, i.e. Cinema & Data Center where the first floors are being completed.
According to the plan of "Adriatic Marinas", it is expected that the entire Boka Place complex with the hotel "Siro" with a capacity of 240 accommodation units will be completed and put into use in the second quarter of the following year. In addition to hotels and apartments, Boka Place will also contain a number of smaller shops, cafes, restaurants, a bookstore, a car dealership, a large cineplex cinema, a climbing wall, as well as a large supermarket, as well as an abundance of public and green areas, with an emphasis on the newly renovated large central square in that part of Porto Montenegro.
In Porto Montenegro, they are satisfied with the effects of this year's tourist season, which according to them, was almost at the level of the record year of 2019. Although the visit to the entire complex was about a fifth less than in 2019, the consumption achieved by visitors to Porto Montenego during 2021 was almost at the level of the record from 2019.
According to the data that the management of "Adriatic Marinas" submitted to the Government, 384 people are currently employed in the companies implementing the Porto Montenegro project in Tivat, of which 300 are Montenegrin and 84 are foreign citizens. Also, according to the data handled by the investor, from the beginning of the implementation of the Porto Montenegro project in 2007 until the end of 2021, a total of 788 million euros were invested in it.
