The Socialist People's Party (SNP) of Montenegro appealed to the competent institutions in Montenegro to find a way to help actress Vesna Pećanac, who, as they state in a statement, "lives in conditions unworthy of a human being."
The SNP points out that the public was shocked by the photos of Pećanac in the public kitchen in Belgrade, and that "it is more than inhuman that Montenegro has not heard about the fate of the widow of the famous director Živko Nikolić for so many years and that it has not done anything to make it easier for her." life."
"It is not the shame of this or that government, it is the shame of all of us and finally the time has come to do something to correct this injustice. We must no longer allow Vesna Pećanac to spend her life in misery and poverty, but, in accordance with her contribution to the affirmation of Montenegrin culture, must provide an adequate pension that will help her meet her basic needs," the announcement states.
The SNP said that Montenegro owes so much to Vesna Pećanac and Živko Nikolic for the way they made the country famous with their films.
"Now is the moment to show that we have a sense of responsibility and consideration for those who spread a good word about our country around the world," the statement concluded.
