Aleksandar Bulatović, executive director of the Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro (JPNPCG) announced today that employee Nenad Ivanović was brandishing a baseball bat in his (Bulatović's) office and threatening him and his family members, all because, as Bulatović claims, of his dissatisfaction with the decision to be transferred to another position.
"As the executive director of the Public Enterprise for National Parks, I am using the opportunity to address the public of Montenegro regarding the incident that occurred in my cabinet, which is related to endangering my personal safety and fear for the safety of my family. Namely, the employee Nenad Ivanović, who and previously in the company was known for illegal activities, but also for his connections with the dubious structures of the former regime, he visited me in my office brandishing a baseball bat and threatening me and my family members, all because of dissatisfaction with the decision to transfer him to another workplace. I would like to draw the attention of the general public to see what kind of obstacles and challenges are faced by people who want to bring qualitative changes to society, and in this particular case to the company for the national parks of Montenegro, because obviously someone thinks that he is stronger than the state and that he can threaten and endangers its representatives," Bulatović pointed out.
He added that he personally believes that this case is an attempt by the criminal structures of the former regime to intimidate him "in order to thwart the necessary changes and recovery of the national parks, which have been in a state of disrepair for decades and are known for bad business and numerous scandals".
"I emphasize that no one will sway me from my intention to do everything to lead the JPNPCG on the right path. I have informed the competent state authorities and the prosecutor's office about the mentioned case and appeal to bring this case to an end. This is a fight for all of us and for a better and more organized Montenegro," concluded Bulatović.
The Cabinet of the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Zdravko Krivokapić, previously announced that they "strongly condemn the attack on Bulatović", and that "the perpetrator of the attack is the former director of JP National Parks, from the time of the previous government".
