The Minister of Capital Investments, Mladen Bojanić, was today with State Secretary Zoran Radunović and Director General of the Directorate for Maritime Traffic and Inland Navigation, Tanja Janović, on a working visit to the Port Authority of Bar and the Directorate of Maritime Safety and Port Management.
Bojanić, as announced by the MKI, opened several topics at the beginning of the conversation, primarily important for the functioning of the maritime administration.
It was said, as stated, about legal and by-laws which are currently being drafted, plans for the next year when it comes to the legislative framework, but also the challenges faced by the officers of the Port Authority of Bar in their daily work.
Bojanić emphasized that in the coming year, he expects even more dynamic cooperation on the reality of the Ministry of Capital Investments and the port authorities and their branches. Janović pointed out that the common goal is for the maritime administration to function efficiently and in accordance with regulations, as well as that the monitoring and implementation of international standards must be imperative. The Secretary of State emphasized that it is time to resolve any disputed issues in the functioning in order to welcome the summer tourist season, to the satisfaction of tourists, the tourism industry, and citizens.
The representatives of the Port Authority, as announced, agreed and pointed out that the beginning of the year is the right time to summarize the results of the activities carried out so far, but also pay attention to the challenges they face in their daily functioning.
Bojanić, when it comes to the activities of the Administration of Maritime Safety and Port Management, emphasized that the relevant ministry will continue to support the implementation of the plans of this administration in the coming period. "The Acting Director and representatives of the Ministry agreed that the common goal is the safe functioning of maritime traffic, and that together we have a serious task in terms of the further development and progress of port management," concluded the MKI.
