They said once again that Sinjajevina will never be turned into a military training ground

Last Thursday, a group of defenders of Sinjajevina went from Štitarica to Okrugljak village and the church of St. Vasilij Ostroški on Ružica, from where they once again told the authorities that that mountain will never be turned into a military training ground.

They also announced the establishment of a non-governmental organization that will be called Defenders of Sinjavina.

Among those who trod through the snow that day, January 27, to Ružica, there were children, as well as two veterans who spent 2020 days and nights on Margita in 51, during the defense of that mountain, where the Army of Montenegro planned execution of a military exercise - Radoje Pujo Čobeljić and Vladeta Bojić.

Čobeljić told Vijesti that on Savindan, in front of the church, he greeted all the defenders and those who helped the defense of Sinjajevina in any way.

"We were gathered at a delicate moment right on Saint Sava to tell the Ministry of Defense, the current and future authorities that Sinjavina will never be a military training ground, since we, the veterans, are ready to give our lives for its preservation. We proved that a year ago." , said Čobeljić.

He points out that many defenders of that mountain expressed dissatisfaction with the work of the existing NGO:

"With her attitude towards veterans and funds, we decided to found and register a new non-governmental organization Defenders of Sinjavina, which would bring together all veterans and introduce new positive and additional values. There will be a place for all sincere defenders of Sinjavina," said Čobeljić.

He also explained that on that day they went to the church on Ružica, because they will try to make that ascent become traditional, that is, they hope that every January 27 those who protect the mountain will visit that holy place.

"Two years ago, during the defense of the holy places, on the eve of Savindan, we had a magnificent procession to the church on Ružica. We defended two holy places that day - the church and the mountain. We will not and must not forget such dates," said Čobeljić.
