The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS) is not to blame for the problem in powering the Babović building, but the investor who, in violation of regulations, does not allow our teams to access the electricity distribution infrastructure for days, the state company announced.
They reacted to the announcement of Ura in Bar, in which they appealed to CEDIS to provide electricity supply to the citizens of the Ilino settlement, who have been without electricity for the fifth day "due to a failure of the substation through which the facility is supplied with electricity."
CEDIS points out that since the beginning of the problem with the power supply to the Babović building in Bar, they have been undertaking all necessary activities to stabilize the power supply as soon as possible.
They also add that due to a problem with the network, one phase was without voltage, that is, that the said facility was not completely without power.

"Also, CEDIS managed to provide regular power supply to the users today from an alternative direction. For the sake of precision, we emphasize that the problem arose due to the non-cooperation of the investor, which prevents our teams from accessing the electrical distribution infrastructure and repairing the fault," the announcement states.
The state company says that in the meantime they have undertaken all the necessary legal work, that the assistance of the police has been requested, in order to provide legally guaranteed access to the electricity distribution infrastructure.
"Since the approval of the assistance is part of the competence of the judicial authorities, and the procedure can take a few days, and with the aim of solving the problem as urgently as possible, the CEDIS teams analyzed the situation on the spot yesterday and with extraordinary efforts, as mentioned, provided an alternative power supply for Babović building, which will be in effect until the institutional regulation of the problem with the investor," they announced.
They reminded that according to the Law on Energy, the end customer is obliged to allow and provide authorized persons of energy entities access to measuring devices and installations, among other things, for the purpose of eliminating malfunctions, "from which it follows that the investor's actions in this case represent a violation of ZoE provisions."
"From the above, it can be concluded that all activities within the competence of CEDIS were undertaken urgently, and that we are not clear about the persistent tagging of the Company in this case, since the address of the tenants, as well as the statements of certain political parties, gives the impression that we stand aside and we do not undertake anything, which is not true. CEDIS is a responsible company, recognized as such in the public, so there is no need for pressure and reminders of the obligations prescribed by law, because in this case, and in general, we fully comply with the relevant regulations," it says in the announcement of CEDIS.
