6,5 million euros will be invested in Pljevlja this year for the reconstruction and construction of hydrotechnical facilities of the city's water supply system and waste water management.

This is what they claim in the local administration managed by Igor Golubović.

"With the adoption of the state and municipal budgets, conditions have been created for starting the preparation of works to improve the water supply of the citizens of Pljevlja, all with the aim of creating conditions for the citizens of Pljevlja to drink quality water regardless of the very complex water supply system. Also, a significant investment in the sewage network is expected during this year so that the recently built Wastewater Treatment Plant works at full capacity. Expected investments in this sector from the state and municipal level will exceed the value of 6,5 million euros this year", announced the local administration.

The Municipality claims that in previous years they prepared project documentation, resolved property-legal relations and "cleared the ground for the construction of three new drinking water processing plants for the citizens of Pljevlja".

Last year, works on the reconstruction of the existing "Pliješ" spring water processing plant, worth 900.000 euros, were completed, and work on the construction of the "Bogiševac" plant, worth over 400.000 euros, began.

"This year, work also begins on the new plant 'Pliješ' worth over 2,8 million euros, for the processing of lake water from the Otilovići reservoir, financed by the state. After the end of the administrative procedure for the donation by the state of Slovenia, an international tender for the selection of the contractor for the Breznica plant worth 1,7 million euros will be announced, with half of the money provided from the state budget. This year, the completion of a completely new water supply management system for the city is expected, with a total value of over 500.000 euros, which will enable automatic quality control and purification of drinking water, management of water supply and distribution, as well as failure detection. Last year, work began on the reconstruction and construction of a completely new supply pipeline for supplying the high and low zones from Pliješa to the city. The first section, 660 meters long, is financed by municipal budget funds, while the continuation of the works worth 1,5 million euros will be financed from the state budget", said the municipality of Pljevlja.

In March, the Municipality will announce a tender for the construction of pipelines for the high and low zones in Ivana Milutinovića Street, with an estimated value of 200.000 euros.

"The works that have been carried out for the needs of the Municipality of Pljevlja for five years by the communal company doo 'Vodovod' on the reconstruction and adaptation of the existing distribution network in the city, where over 100 kilometers of the distribution network have already been replaced and the works in the central city area have been completed, will continue. The planned value of the works for these purposes is 250.000 euros, with the fact that distribution water networks and connections for consumers will be reconstructed in the streets of Banijsko, Blaž Jovanović, Avalsko, Salko Aljković, Vlatko Samardžić, Dušan Obradović and Mojkovačka", the local administration announced.

The Municipality claims that the preparation of the second phase of the project for the reconstruction and construction of fecal and storm sewers, with an estimated value of over 7 million euros, is underway. For the realization of the second phase, grant funds from the EU of no less than 50 percent are expected.

For the construction of atmospheric and fecal sewage in the streets: Omer beg Bajrović, Sutjesko, Avalsko, Dušan Obradović, Sava Dimitrijević and the settlements of Donji Komini, Radosavac, the settlement around Mljekara, Dolovi III and Korman, this year the Municipality will allocate over 600.000 euros.
