The newly elected Acting Supreme State Prosecutor's Office, Maja Jovanović, briefly told "Vijesti" that she was taken aback by the decision of the Prosecutor's Council, but that she is a professional and that she accepted with great pleasure to manage the prosecutor's organization for the next six months.

"They showed me a great honor and I hope that I will live up to the expectations. I am a professional, a career prosecutor, I am here - where I am," prosecutor Jovanović said briefly.

Maja Jovanović was elected acting VDT by unanimous decision of TS members for a period of six months, and if a new supreme state prosecutor is not elected during that time, by decision of TS, she can remain in the acting mandate for another half year.
