The Mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, today received a donation from the City of Vienna on behalf of the Capital City, which, as he states in the announcement, is of great importance in the pandemic conditions, both for Podgorica and for Montenegro. .
The donation includes four trucks of medical equipment of FFP 2 personal protective masks, safety glasses, disposable protective suits, disposable gowns, disposable aprons and disposable caps.
Vuković expressed his gratitude to the City of Vienna, as well as the Austrian Ambassador to Montenegro Karl Michael Müller, the Mayor of Vienna Michael Ludwig, doctor Michael Volz, and the Schröder family, "friends who are from Vienna but spend a good part of their time in Montenegro and who pointed out opportunity to receive this valuable donation."
He said that the donation contains very valuable medical equipment and everything that is needed "so that our great medical workers, who have been fighting the corona virus for two years, can do so in the safest possible way."
The mayor, as stated in the announcement, also thanked the Montefarm Health Institution, which accepted the obligation to store the equipment until further distribution.
Austrian Ambassador Karl Michael Miller, as stated in the announcement, emphasized that Podgorica and Vienna have long-standing, strong friendships between the two cities, and that he is very proud of the expression of solidarity of his hometown of Vienna in the form of protective equipment.
