The lion cub, which was found in the vicinity of Budva after several days of searching, is in good health, and a solution is being sought for his further stay in Montenegro until his final deportation, which will not be a financial burden for the citizens.
The Environmental Protection Agency called on all socially responsible companies to help feed and house the lion in the form of food donations, building materials to create an adequate environment... so that the lion could fully recover and his life in Montenegro "would be acceptable to the natural habitat that is intended for lions".
In the shelter for cats and dogs, where the lion cub is temporarily housed, after an examination by Dutch and German experts from the organization Four Paws, it was established that it is a male about five months old, which currently weighs 29 kilograms and is in good health, they said from "Vijesta" agency.
"We are very grateful to the Center for the Protection and Study of Birds, with whose help we got in touch with the veterinary experts from this organization who gave their knowledge to Montenegro completely free of charge, and we have the necessary equipment, medications and vaccines at our disposal at no cost", they stated from Agencies.
