Announcement for the selection of the chief special prosecutor

The President of the Prosecutorial Council, Maja Jovanović, announced an advertisement for the election of the Chief Special Prosecutor.

The advertisement states that the candidate must meet the general conditions for working in a state body and the special conditions prescribed by Article 12 of the Law on the Special State Prosecutor's Office.

"The completed and signed application of the candidate, with personal and work biography, as well as documents (original or certified copy), prescribed in Article 68 of the Rules of Procedure of the Prosecutorial Council, shall be submitted to the Prosecutorial Council within 15 days from the date of publication of the public advertisement in the "Official Gazette of Montenegro "... The application is submitted to the address: Prosecutor's Council, Podgorica, ul. Novaka Miloševa no. 6/2. The Prosecutor's Council will reject untimely and incomplete applications," the advertisement states.

On Thursday, February 17, the members of the Prosecutor's Council declared the termination of the mandate of the previous chief special prosecutor, Milivoj Katnić, because he fulfilled the legal requirements for retirement.

Katnić spent 2.432 days in the post of GST.
