Ecologist and ornithologist Darko Saveljić from the Environmental Protection Agency announced that the doe that was found wounded today has died.
Saveljić pointed out on his Facebook profile that "we urgently need a better and more beautiful world. A better and nobler Montenegro".
"I experienced hell to have a doe die in my arms. Whoever can shoot at this delicate piece of life, believe me, would also shoot at people. If we don't do something, each in our power, the darkness will eat us," he wrote.
The doe, which was found on the main road from Kolašin to Podgorica, was injured by a firearm, the Kolašin police unofficially informed "Vijesti" today.
According to the so far, as they say, unconfirmed information, the animal was shot by poachers from Podgorica. The doe was found by one of the drivers and, in cooperation with the police, he transferred it to a veterinarian in Podgorica, where it was operated on.
The wounded animal was found near Međuriječje, at the turn for Trmanje, and it was shot through its hind legs, the police say.

Velibor Veličković from Bjelopol told that around 10 o'clock this morning, on the main road in the Morača canyon, heading from the direction of Kolašin towards Podgorica, he found a wounded doe lying on the road, surrounded by dogs, on the right lane.
"I stopped the vehicle and chased away the two dogs that surrounded the wounded doe, which was lying motionless. The only movement was a slight movement of the head. I saw that she was wounded in the back right part of her body, and traces of blood were also visible on the street where she was lying "I moved it outside the roadway and the drivers who soon arrived informed the police and the fire service," said Bjelopoljac, adding that other drivers arrived soon after, some of whom soon alerted the police and the fire service.
