Almost 300.000 euros will be allocated by Montefarm for the procurement of nine types of vaccines against infectious diseases.
According to the tender announced at the beginning of this month, Montefarm requested 140 doses of the vaccine against Haemophilus influenza type B, 140 doses of the quadrivalent vaccine against meningococcal meningitis and 150 pieces of pneumococcal vaccine for immunization of children older than two years and adults.
The documentation states that 17 doses of the vaccine against hepatitis B, 250 vaccines against jaundice caused by hepatitis A are also needed. The largest amount requested is the vaccine against polio, 14.000 doses.
The tender provides for the procurement of 400 pieces of vaccine against yellow fever and 1.000 doses of vaccine against rabies. The estimated value of the procurement is EUR 295.384,99.
Bids are submitted until March 25, when their opening is scheduled. The reason for shortening the deadline for submitting bids, as stated, is the mandatory immunization program and its health importance, as well as the possible consequences of the lack of vaccines for public health, especially for children.
The delivery time for most vaccines is two to six months after signing the contract.
In the documentation, among other things, it is written that the supplier must deliver to the customer new goods of appropriate quality and expiration date within seven days from the date of the complaint record, if it is determined that there are defects in quality, the agreed expiration date or in terms of the quality of the "cold chain ".
For vaccines against Haemophilus influenzae type B and against hepatitis B, vaccines from the basic and additional list of drugs can be offered primarily, and if there are no such offers, others will be taken into consideration.
