The Socialist People's Party (SNP) expressed reverence and respect for all those who died from the coronavirus on the occasion of the second anniversary of the death of the first patient from the virus, announced the vice-president of the SNP Committee of the capital Podgorica, Marija Radinović.
"Unfortunately, 2.696 of our fellow citizens lost their battle with the coronavirus, and thousands more people felt the full weight of the consequences it carries with it," Radinović said.
She states that thanks to the superhuman efforts of our medical staff, even worse balances have been prevented.
"We hereby express our great gratitude to every doctor, nurse, technician and non-medical staff who did not regret their efforts to help preserve human lives. We also express our condolences and sympathy to the families of all victims of Covid-19," the statement reads.
He also adds that fortunately the pandemic has taken a more peaceful course these days, which "gives hope that its end is approaching".
"Nevertheless, we call on citizens to remain cautious because it is an unpredictable disease that has taken us by surprise more than once. Montenegro cannot afford the luxury of losing one more human life. It is the most valuable thing we have and for which we must fight with all our might." , said Radinović.
