Due to the destruction of the Skadar Lake, fish stock, increasingly frequent poaching and nepotism in the Public Enterprise National Parks of Montenegro, the Non-Governmental Organization Carp Security Group demanded an immediate replacement of the management of that enterprise.
In a statement delivered to the media, they claim that the situation on Lake Skadar is alarming, and they accused the director of that public company of numerous wrongdoings.
"Aleksandar Bulatović, director of JP NPCG, with his inaction and unprofessional management of the Skadar Lake National Park, has called into question the survival of our pearl. Our activists on the ground are witnesses of the daily destruction of the fish stock, and now, unfortunately, the endangering of the protected guardian of our pearl - the Pelican. On the video poachers who catch fish with a 'aggregate', i.e. kill the entire animal world in the area, are clearly visible, regardless of the Protection Service, which, at the moment, is headed by the head of the service as if it does not exist," the NGO Carp Security Group announced.
They claim that Bulatović hired more than 50 new workers with the latest systematization:
"Most of the new staff are unprofessional and unprofessional. Such an example is the new coordinator of the Monitoring and Control Service, who only heard about Lake Skadar from the media. The protection service has not been functioning at all for months, the vessels are defective, they have no fuel. At this moment, Lake Skadar is left to itself, even after our appeal to the competent institutions and the media. In this extremely alarming situation, we only have to fight on the street, as well as to call on all sports fishermen, the entire NGO sector, nature lovers and conscientious citizens that, if in If the situation on Lake Skadar does not improve in the coming days, let's go out into the street and ring Mr. Bulatović, the physical education teacher, for the end of the last class. With this announcement, we demand the immediate dismissal of the management of JP NPCG, and we call on the authorities to appoint competent people at the head of it, whose professionalism will be the main criterion," the announcement reads.
