After the "Days of Romania in Montenegro" event was successfully realized in Cetinje last year, the embassy of that country in cooperation with the capital and plans to prepare a similar program this year, it was announced during the meeting of the mayor of the capital of Cetinje, Nikola Đurašković, with the Romanian ambassador Matei-Viorel Ardeleanu. .

"We would like to congratulate you on your appointment and express our hope that we will continue the successful cooperation between the embassy, Prijestonica and Alba Iulia, twin cities, with the aim of strengthening ties and developing important projects that will affect the quality of life of all citizens," said Ambassador Ardeleanu, writes in the statement.
As stated in the announcement, Mayor Đurašković thanked the ambassador for "the cooperation with the institutions in the capital so far, but also for the support provided by Romania to Montenegro in the process of Euro-Atlantic integration."
"He informed the ambassador about the activities of the new local administration and plans for its professionalization and modernization, as well as for reducing the unemployment rate," the announcement states.
"Cetinje and Montenegro have a serious investment potential, and in the proposals that were discussed at the meeting today, I see room for concrete cooperation with the Romanian economic sector and the city administration of Alba Iulia," said the mayor.
At the meeting, as they state, it was concluded that "the historical ties of Montenegro and Romania additionally obligate the cooperation of the two countries, but also of the cities."
