"Today I visited Budva and Bar, the two Montenegrin municipalities with the largest number of Ukrainian refugees. I was already aware of the generosity, hospitality and solidarity of Montenegrin citizens. Today, I personally saw all of this in a conversation with Ukrainian refugees who found refuge in Budva and Baru. I heard terrible stories about people who were forced to leave their homes by the Russian military aggression. According to her, since the beginning of the Russian aggression, more than 3,8 million Ukrainians, mostly women and children, have arrived in the EU.

"The European Union has quickly provided 90 million euros for emergency aid programs. We have provided food, water, shelter and support for the basic needs of those affected by the war. Member States have provided Ukrainian refugees with secure status and access to schools, medical services and work. We will continue to give everything do our best to support Montenegrin local and state authorities as well as international partners in our efforts to provide shelter and protection to Ukrainian refugees. Over the next three years, we plan to invest 355 million euros to support migration management and asylum systems in the Western Balkans. We will persevere united against injustice and aggression until Ukraine is free again," Popa concluded.

The forty-first day is the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
