The member of the Democrats in the Bar Municipal Assembly Momčilo Leković said that it is not clear why the President of the Municipality Dušan Raičević "overnight" changed his opinion about whether the fence on the sidewalk near the roundabout is safe for citizens, but that it can be stated that such "indefinite and variable reactions" cannot possibly go with the function Raičević performs.
"As several fellow citizens approached us with a request to check with the competent secretariat at what price a sidewalk, roundabout or possibly a boulevard can be rented these days, and bearing in mind that information appeared in the public that the price of renting a sidewalk in Ilin is 600 euros, I requested from the Secretariat for Communal-Housing Affairs and Environmental Protection and specifically Acting Secretary Andro Drecun a copy of the rulebook as well as the tariff, i.e. the criteria on the basis of which the sidewalk lease in Ilin was calculated. /14-341/22 dated March 6, 3, by which he approved the occupation of part of the public area - the sidewalk of the Boulevard of the Petrović dynasty," announced Leković.
He said that he expects, given that the deadline for an answer according to the Law on Free Access to Information is 15 days, that within that period citizens can get an answer to the question of what tariff they can lease sidewalks on the territory of the Municipality of Bar, as well as on the basis of which rulebook it is possible.
"As we could see on the ground today, something apparently 'struck' the President of Bar Municipality Dušan Raičević overnight, so what he considered safe for the citizens and normal yesterday, i.e. the specific Decision of Drecun's Secretariat approving the occupation of the sidewalk, early this morning decided to cancel and declare the occupation of the sidewalk unsafe. What is happening with the President of the Municipality remains an unknown for us and the citizens, however, we freely state that such vague and changing reactions cannot possibly go with the function he performs," concluded Leković.
