Members of the bar committee of the Citizens' Movement URA, at the initiative of the Youth Forum, marked Earth Day with another environmental action in the Ratac park-forest, the media team of this movement announced.
"We symbolically named the multi-day action 'Let's invest in our planet', implying by investment the cleaning of the Ratac park-forest, one of the favorite picnic spots for tourists," said Aleksandar Mijović, a member of the Bar URE and an environmental activist.
As part of the action, as he emphasized, attention was drawn to the beauty and importance of "this unjustly neglected park".
"Such an important location, where nature and history meet, the local self-government and other relevant institutions must pay attention to in order to adequately valorize it. Ratac is only one of such locations and in the coming period GP URA Bar, as part of the Green movement, will continue to promote green actions. Now is the time for unstoppable courage to preserve and protect nature, because a green future is the only one acceptable in the long term. If we unite, we can do a lot for our city, country and planet, and therefore for us, because by conserving it we preserve it and myself," added Mijović.
