Vladimir Martinović, Vice-President and Deputy of the Democrats in the Parliament of Montenegro, announced that Democratic Montenegro strongly condemns the stoning of the bus carrying children from Nikšić.
In a press release, Martinović calls on the competent authorities to prosecute the individuals who committed an act of vandalism in Cetinje as soon as possible in accordance with the law.
"It is inconceivable to a normal and well-intentioned person that such situations are happening in Montenegro, a country that aspires to be the first next member of the European Union, a democratic and free country, which is proud of its multi-religious and multinational harmony. In a country whose most valuable resource throughout its history was a human life, and where the head was given for honor. What we witnessed are not the values of Montenegro, but the opposite of that," said Martinović in a statement.
He adds that the perpetrators "are neither Montenegrins, nor representatives of any nation, nor do they represent the famous Capital of Cetinje, because this is not a deed that any Montenegrin or Cetinje could ever be proud of."
He says that such "dishonorable and violent actions are immanent exclusively to the soldiers of the former government, who have been trying to destabilize Montenegrin society for a long time by raising inter-ethnic and interpersonal tensions."
"Because of all the above, we ask Abazović and Joković, as the executors of the constitutional coup and the attempt to return to power those who created this environment in Montenegro, are they ashamed of supporting the "policy" of stoning children and causing an atmosphere of hatred, fear and insecurity?! shame on them, because the exponents of that deviant policy are returning to "pacify" and "democratize" Montenegro thanks to the two of them," Martinović asked.
