The Minister of Internal Affairs, Sergej Sekulović, made a decision on the admission of actress Vesna Pećanac to Montenegrin citizenship, the department announced.
According to them, the decision was made in accordance with Article 12 of the Law on Montenegrin Citizenship, at the proposal of the President of the Assembly and in accordance with the opinion of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
"This is a person whose admission to Montenegrin citizenship is of particular importance for the cultural interest of Montenegro. Vesna Pećanac made a significant contribution to the promotion of Montenegro, its culture and creativity with her theater, film and television roles," the MUP stated on Twitter.
