TOB: We reject accusations that Ukraine or any victim is disparaged, the group consists of Ukrainians and Russians hanging out

The Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Budva (TOB) announced this evening that it rejects all attempts to insinuate as well as attempts to insinuate that the performance of one of the carnival groups at the "Let Love Live" event belittled Ukraine or any victim.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Montenegro announced today that "it is appalled and strongly condemns yesterday's event in Budva as part of the International Tourist Carnival "Long Live Love", during which a cynical and reckless attempt to identify the victim - Ukraine and the country of the aggressor - Russia was noticed. .

The Municipal Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Budva announced this evening that the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Budva mocked Ukrainians and insulted Budva, and that they are demanding a public apology from its leaders.

"We are amazed with the degree of misunderstanding with which the performance of one of the carnival groups is commented, which in terms of its idea, content and messages was well-intentioned. First of all, TOB does not censor performances but offers the possibility of artistic freedom and creativity in the performances. The very fact that the group was composed from the citizens of Ukraine and Russia who live in Budva and who gathered on their own initiative, designed a performance that sends a message of peace, love and hope that these two countries can and should find a solution to the war conflict, unmasks incorrect statements on this issue," he points out. in the announcement of TOB.

They added that "reading the statements of the Embassy of Ukraine and the local DPS, one gets the impression that TOB organized a military parade and that instead of costumes, this group used tanks and warheads, while the reality is that this group performed in ceremonial costumes that were decorated with the flags of Ukraine and Russia, under masks they called the Sun".

"By the way, this carnival group consists of Ukrainians and Russians who, not only live in Budva, but socialize with each other and believe that their two countries should reach peace as soon as possible in order to end the war. It is obvious that the local DPS branch is bothered that we are witnessing the beginning another fantastic summer tourist season, so with its cheap political pamphlets it tries to draw attention and minimize our result. Of course, the upcoming positive result is the result of the work of the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Budva, which does everything together with the Municipality of Budva to encourage numerous guests to stay in our capital of tourism Any attempt to minimize our work is denied by the fact that today over 25.000 tourists are staying in our city and that we have a successful season ahead of us that guarantees the success of the tourist economy. They said that on this occasion, above all, they want to convince everyone that they are welcome in Budva, that they are doing everything to make them feel comfortable in Budva, regardless of which country they come from.
