JPNPCG: The former director, whose results of inaction are visible, recklessly and tendentiously attacks the new management

The Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro (JPNPCG) announced today that "the new management of JPNPCG is putting out fires that are the result of negligent and unprofessional management of this enterprise in the long-term previous period".

They reacted to today's announcement by the former director of JPNPCG Azra Vuković, in which, among other things, it is stated that "the existence of JP for national parks is completely meaningless".

"The former director of JPNPCG, whose results of inaction are still visible on the ground, recklessly and tendentiously attacks the new management, unprepared to face the poor management of the National Parks and the numerous problems that accumulated while she was managing the company in the previous period. The new management, headed by Director Aleksandar Bulatović invites all competent institutions and media to help in order to show the public the objective, relevant and true results of the work of the new management, which were achieved in a very short time. that the Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro did not give consent for the performance of that type of work in the protected area. The process is ongoing in which all measures have been taken with the cooperation of the Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro and the competent authorities (Administration for Inspection Affairs and local administration). The director of the Prokletije National Park (NP), Marinko Barjaktarović, said that on May 7, he was informed by the competent supervisor on the ground about illegal activities on the spatial unit of the Gusinjska Forest in the town of Grebaje.

"Which was carried out by Đerđ Vukelj aka Ljuša on his private property in the third and second protection zones of the National Park. The works were carried out in the late afternoon hours of 6/5/2022 and early morning hours of 7/5/2022. As the supervisor found the works during a regular tour of the field on May 7, 5, he immediately stopped them and they stopped being carried out. As it was a weekend, on Monday we visited the field and made a report on the basis of which the Directorate for Inspection Affairs, the competent forestry inspector and the municipality of Gusinje," Barjaktarović pointed out.

He added that on May 10, accompanied by an environmental inspector, he visited the field and that today the inspector submitted a report on the basis of which the necessary measures and actions were taken.

"Also, the forestry inspector made a report from his jurisdiction. So the works were stopped at the same moment when the supervisor noticed them, and there are no claims that illegal actions were carried out in front of the employees of NP Prokletije, but all actions were done according to valid legal procedures ", concluded Barjaktarović.
