Eight-year-old Milutin Vukotić from Nikšić has volunteerism in his blood. His parents have been Red Cross volunteers for 20 years, so it was logical that Milutin should be as well.
He is also used to trying to contribute to a healthier and cleaner environment. That's why no one was surprised by his proposal to organize a cleaning action in the part of Trebjesa, behind the tennis courts.
The idea was enthusiastically accepted by his friends, the youngest volunteers of the Nikšić Red Cross, they were wholeheartedly supported by the older members, and from the NGO "Paths of the Ancestors" they did not hide their satisfaction that they got valuable activists who will clean Trebjesa together with them.
"The desire of our little volunteers is to show that they can be very useful and contribute not only to the beautification of nature, but also to show their peers that with small actions they can do a big thing. Their love for the Red Cross and the need to do good and beautiful deeds is the most beautiful example of humanity. Members of our club for the elderly also joined the action, so it was a pleasure and pride to see three generations in one action", said the secretary of the Nikšić Red Cross, Ana Macanović, not without pride.
She praised the cooperation with the NGO "Paths of the Ancestors" and Ana Petrović is convinced that this is just the beginning of their joint activities.
In addition to cleaning and collecting ten bags of waste, Red Cross volunteers and members of the NGO "Paths of Ancestors" also planted five saplings - two linden trees and three willow trees.
"Communicating with nature brings joy. Let's protect nature for future generations", said Ana Petrović.
