Money was collected for the purchase of a special purpose aid for three-year-old Dragan Maslak, who suffers from a severe form of cerebral palsy.
Dragan needed help after a spine operation in Turkey.
"I want to thank you as well as all the humane people who responded to our appeal. The money for the aid was collected. Once again, I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart," said Dragan's mother, Ljiljana Maslak, to "Vijesta".
Dragan was born prematurely with a risk of death for both him and his mother. The boy lives in a family of five, where only the father works but does not have a permanent job. His mother spends the most time with him, who besides him has two other children.
After the operation in Turkey, progress is noticeable, but it is necessary to continue with continuous treatments (physical therapy, speech therapist, defectologist, somatopedist, typhologist) and with certain aids.
Dragan needed the Kid Walk II Gait Trainer from Ottobock. Its price varies from 8.000 euros upwards, depending on the accessories that are needed.
