The Mayor of the Capital of Cetinje, Aleksandar Bogdanović, sent a congratulatory message to the writer Milorad Popović, winner of the Njegoš Award for 2017, for the novel "Man without a Face".
"With a feeling of great satisfaction and pride, we received the news that our greatest literary prize, according to the decision of an international jury composed of distinguished writers, went to the Montenegrin author, our fellow citizen Milorad Popović. This placed Popović among the greats of South Slavic literature such as Lalić, Krleža, Selimović , Daviča, Pekića, Kovača. I hope that he will receive the Njegoš award, not only as recognition for the novel "Man without a Face" and his previous literary work, but also as an incentive for some new works that I am looking forward to," Bogdanović wrote in his congratulatory message. .
