The income from the tourist tax is planned to be less than a quarter of a million euros, i.e. 24 percent more compared to the realization last year, according to the information on the preparation of the tourist season in Podgorica.
"During 2021, a record collection of membership fees was achieved, due to increased control and records of taxpayers who are subject to payment of this type of tax, and who have had debts for years", it is stated in the information that will be on the agenda of the session of the Capital City Assembly, which should be held next Wednesday.
It is added that a slight drop in income of five percent based on membership contribution is expected.
The total planned income of the Tourism Organization of Podgorica (TOP) in 2022 is 451.000 euros or eight percent more compared to the previous year.
The document states that the year 2020 caused the closure of the country due to the coronavirus pandemic, and that the last tourist season was, according to the indicators, half as weak (51 percent) as the record year 2019.
