The price of water and sewage services in the municipality of Herzegnov is the lowest in Boka.
The delivered price per cubic meter is 1,05 euros for individuals, and 2,16 euros for legal entities.
In the municipality of Kotor, that amount is 1,66 euros for individuals and 2,76 euros for legal entities, in Tivat 1,34 and 2,70 euros respectively.
Budva residents also pay more expensive water than consumers in Herceg Novi: 1,58 and 3,16 euros respectively.
Although the price has not been changed since 2008, the acting director of DOO Vodovod i Kanalizacija, Olivera Doklestić, says that they do not plan to increase the price.
"Until we show a tendency to reduce losses in the water supply network, which amount to as much as 75 percent in certain zones, we have no moral right to ask citizens to increase the price of water," explains Doklestić.
Last year, DOO Vodovod i Sewerage charged three and a half million euros for used water and sewage services.
Doklestić says that these funds are sufficient for paying salaries to employees and maintaining the water and sewerage network, but not for investments in the renovation and modernization of the system.
