Nature Park (PP) "Piva" has decided to renew the kayak regatta on Lake Piva after ten years. On Saturday, in two sessions, for the same participants, a one-day kayaking school for children and youth will be held on the lake, which will be led by Srđan Vuković, a licensed kayak instructor.

As announced by PP, all applicants for kayaking lessons must be good swimmers, and children under 14 must be registered by one of their parents. Kayaks (single and double) with oars and vests are provided.

"After this, our plan is to organize kayaking on the lake in one of the next weekends with the participation of students from this school, but also with members of kayaking clubs from other cities, and we hope that this is just the beginning of a great story and promotion of kayaking on Lake Piva", said PP "Piva".

They reminded that Pivsko jezero, which is 42 kilometers long, is the largest artificial lake in Montenegro and the largest reservoir of drinking water in the Balkans, suitable for fishing, swimming, as well as for various sports on calm waters. Kayaking is one of those sports.

Ten years ago, a promotional kayaking regatta was held on Lake Piva, and the promoters of recreational and sports tourism on calm waters were kayakers from Podgorica (from the clubs "Morača" and "Eskimo"), Mojkovac, Foča and Trebinje. At that time, about 20 kayaks, two-seaters and one-seaters, traveled the route from Rosulje to Kućarište, which is five kilometers long.
