The Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism (MEPG) announced that at today's meeting in the Municipality of Ulcinj, a unanimous decision was made that the management model of the Nature Park "Ulcinjska Solana" will be a company that should be formed by the end of October this year.
As announced by the Ministry, the meeting was attended by the ambassador of Germany, Robert Weber with his associate, the general director of the Directorate for Nature in MEPPU, Tamara Brajović with his associates, Omer Bajraktari, president of the Municipality of Ulcinj with his associates, GIZ expert, Goran Gugić, representatives of JP National Parks, the executive directors of NGOs CZIP and Martin Schneide-Jacoby Association, Jovana Janjušević and Zenepa Lika, as well as the bankruptcy administrator, Žarko Ostojić.
It is proposed that the co-founders of the Society be the Government of Montenegro and the Municipality of Ulcinj, and at the meeting, as they say, questions were raised about the duties and tasks of the manager, the role of the NGO sector in the management of the Nature Park, as well as the position of the bankruptcy trustee on the future management structure.
"The goal of the meeting was to clearly define further steps and procedures towards the formation of a limited liability company and future successful management. In this regard, the conclusion was adopted that a body will be formed within the management structure, which will consist of representatives of all institutions and organizations present today, as and to jointly, precisely define the criteria for the selection of the Company's director. Additionally, the NGO sector specifically emphasized that the basic criteria for the selection of the Company's future director must be expertise and professionalism, and not political affiliation," the MEPG press release reads.
Bankruptcy administrator Žarko Ostojić, as they note, "confirmed that he is open to cooperation and that he supports the process of forming the Company."
"Until October of the current year, that is, until the formation of the management structure is finalized, JP National Parks will extend the contract for the lease of the Nature Park "Ulcinjska Solana", the announcement concludes.
