Last night, the public company for the management of the marine assets of Montenegro officially opened a new promenade in Pržno. As part of the "Budva Evening" manifestation, a rich musical program was organized in cooperation with the Budva Tourist Organization.
Promoting a valuable investment, the director of JP Morsko dobro Mladen Mikijelj said that he believes that the new look of the promenade will greatly improve the tourist infrastructure and offer of Pržno.
"By implementing such projects, we are performing the primary function of JP, which is certainly the improvement of coastal infrastructure. Unfortunately, in the past two decades, we had a total devastation of our coast," he said.
Mikijelj said that this is the reason for the negative perception of citizens, and added that he hopes that through the implementation of similar projects, that perception of citizens will change. On that occasion, he thanked the Service for the arrangement and construction of the premises of JP Morsko dobro.
"I would especially emphasize the involvement of Vukašin Mijatović, who with his daily presence in this locality contributed to the realization of this project before the start of the tourist season, and took into account a large number of suggestions from the citizens of Pržno," he said.
The President of the Board of Directors of JP Morsko Dobro, Blažo Rađenović, in his address, said that the construction of the promenade in Pržno is an important infrastructural development, both for Budva and for the whole of Montenegro.
"The marine asset has changed its image and perception, which is of public interest. As you can see, this trail also represents a form of connecting people, and all that is significant perceptions for tourism. "Certainly, this is not the only investment that we are planning in the Municipality of Budva, we have a number of projects planned both for the Municipality of Budva itself and for the entire Budva area," he said.
Vladislav Mitrović spoke in front of the citizens of the local community, who said that the citizens are looking forward to a different approach of the new administration of JP Morski dobro, which, as he said, finally respects the citizens' suggestions and listens to their needs.
"Just a few years ago, we called this company 'Morsko zlo', it seems that the situation has changed, and now it can finally be truly called Morsko good", he concluded.
According to Vukašin Mijatović, head of the Planning Service for the development and construction of marine assets, the importance of this project would be best spoken by the locals themselves.
"I would like them to tell us in what way we managed to change this space, and how much effort we put in to make this promenade look like this, I sincerely hope for much better." The condition we found here was quite bad, there was some old concrete in a very bad condition. "Stone arrangement and improvement of the ground floor and coastal wall with street lighting is absolutely the minimum that a place like this deserves", said Mijatović.
When the funds were invested, Mijatović said that the planned budget for this investment was around 300.000 euros, of which 280.000 were spent.
