Kotor ramparts were visited by 39.885 tourists in the period from March 12 to July 1.

The Director of the Directorate for Arrangement and Construction of Kotor, Snežana Jovanić, said that 319.080 euros were generated from the sale of tickets.

She told Raadio Kotor that the Kotor ramparts cover a large and inaccessible area, as well as that there are a couple of locations that need to be repaired.

"However, we do not have all the necessary, detailed data. That's why this year we planned a 3D recording of the entire ramparts, for which we have allocated 40.000 euros. We need the same in order to get an accurate insight into the state of the ramparts, and we have also initiated the creation of a Project for the rehabilitation of the most critical parts , for which we also planned certain funds," said Jovanić.

He also adds that they applied for projects related to walking paths on the ramparts, the location of St. Franjo and the lower part of the ramparts, which is included in the item "Reconstruction and rehabilitation of the ramparts in Kotor" in the Budget Law for this year.

"Certain funds have been planned, so we hope to start realizing these investments during the year. In addition to the current maintenance of the walking paths, in the coming period, the touristic marking of the ramparts will be done, and the value of this investment is 18.500 euros," said Jovanić.
