The Board of Directors of the University of Montenegro (UCG) today adopted the proposal of the Senate of the University of Montenegro, which foresees 1.875 places for enrollment in master's programs in the academic year 2022/23. year.
The President of the Management Board of the UCG, Rajka Glušica, announced that the proposal will be sent to the Government for a final decision, given that it is a matter of budget studies.
UCG said that the proposal for the number of students is in accordance with the decision of the Ministry of Education, which determined the maximum number of students for enrollment.
300 places are planned for the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, 225 for Philology, 150 each for Philosophy and Economics, 140 for the Faculty of Political Science, 120 for Civil Engineering, 110 for Mechanical Engineering, and 100 for the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality.
There are 90 places each at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, 85 at the Faculty of Biotechnology, 80 at the Faculty of Law, 60 at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, and 50 at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education.
36 places are planned at the Academy of Music, 32 at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, 30 at the Faculty of Medicine, and 27 at the Faculty of Fine Arts.
"When proposing the number of students, the Senate was guided by the proposals of organizational units, the encouragement of incoming and outgoing mobility, teaching quality standards, the number of teaching staff, the material basis for the realization of an individual study program, as well as the adequate ratio of the number of students and teaching staff", said the UCG- a.
As stated on the University's website, the proposal is justified from the aspect of employability and demand on the labor market in Montenegro, as well as spatial and personnel capacities.
