After the third round of the Montenegrin State Championship in sport fishing, in the discipline of fly fishing - fly fishing, which was held yesterday in NP Biogradska gora, the leader in the table in the individual competition is Ivica Rajković from Kolašin, in the team competition SRK "Plavsko jezero" from Plav is the first.
Nine Montenegrin teams with 27 competitors participate in the championship, which is organized by the Association of Sports Fishing Organizations (SSRO). The biggest fish, 44 cm long, during the third round, which took place in three sessions on Lake Biograd and on the Tara River, as SSRO President Petar Vučinić said, was caught by Arso Jeremić from SRK "Maniro" yesterday.
According to Marija Dulović, director of NP Biogradska gora, the sports fishing competition is part of the tradition of NP Biogradska gora.
"I hope that fly fishing will take root in our climate and that visitors to our park will recognize this sport and begin to apply it more widely. Fly fishing or fly fishing (fly fishing) is a sport that requires top form, dexterity, patience and equipment, which is lighter than standard fishing equipment. In return, flyfishing provides relaxation, enhances concentration and physical dexterity and general well-being of the organism. A fish that is caught, examined, photographed and quickly returned to the water. That's true sportsmanship," she said.
The contribution of Biogradska Gora to the tourist image of Kolašin, according to Radmila Šuković from the Office of the President of the Municipality, is immeasurable. She said that the "Sports Summer in the National Parks" is one of the original manifestations, which promote the values of Kolasin's tourist offer in the best way.
"Kolašin is a city that has been living with Biogradska gora NP for decades. We have the privilege of being neighbors and partners, of being the same address for powerful touristic, ecological, and scientific messages that start from Biograd's rainforest. Kolašin has a tradition of master fishing and passion for fishing. Lake Biograd has always been a place of special competition between angler and fish. It was given a special mission of humanity and naturalness by the rule of flyfishing, which achieves two goals, the fisherman confirmed his mastery and the fish was returned to the water and to life," she said.
Record visit to NP Biogradska gora
The director of NP Biogradska gora reminded that JPNPCG launched the campaign "Sports summer in National Parks" for the first time this year, which supports numerous events in NP Durmitor, NP Lovcen and NP Skadarsko lake.
Dulović also said that the record attendance in Biogradska gora was on July 14, when 1.400 tickets were sold. The number of visitors that day, she explains, was even higher because tickets are not charged for children.
In NP Biogradska gora, says Dulović, they are uncompromisingly dedicated to the primary goal of protecting nature and its ecosystems. According to the director, good results are the result of good cooperation with local and state structures, that is, relevant institutions and organizations.
Since the beginning of the season in Biogradska Gora, there have been 24.000 visitors, so the NP expects that this year they will surpass the results from the year before last.
