The Vujović House had the status of a ruin and was recognized as a building that poses a danger to passers-by, "Vijesta" from the company "Coinis" was told.

The house of Vujović in Bokeška Street in Podgorica was demolished on Sunday, and "Coinis" and the company "Corner Construction" are planning to build a five-story office building on that location.

Due to the demolition of Vujović's house, the Capital submitted a criminal complaint to the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) for abuse of official position against the investor and several other legal entities and persons who are responsible for approving construction and construction and supervision.

"Coinis" added that all activities "are in accordance with project documentation and the law", and that "the project of the new building was made in such a way as to preserve the original appearance" of the Vujović house.

They also said that they will completely retain its recognizable facade.

The business building of "Coinis" and "Corner Construction" was designed on urban plots UP36, UP37 and UP38, within the scope of UP "Nova varoš - Blok E", which are located on cadastral plot 3857, KO Podgorica II, with a total area of ​​571,42, 2021 square meters. The facility was designed on the basis of the urban-technical conditions issued at the end of XNUMX by the Secretariat for Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development of the Municipality of Podgorica.

"Coinis" told "Vijesta" that they did everything in accordance with the law and that they "approached each step responsibly, following professional advice and respecting all regulations."

They added that the house and land are privately owned by "Corner Construction", the company with which they are building a five-story building on the corner of Bokeška and Stanka Dragojevića Streets.

"The house does not have the status of a cultural asset, which can be verified at the Institute for the Protection of Monuments. According to the valid urban plan, it had the status of a ruin and was recognized as a building that poses a danger to passers-by, which is confirmed by the study on the removal of the building," they told "Vijesta" and added that they "entered very responsibly" into the construction project of the future office building.

They also claim that before the removal of the object, five teams made an assessment that the removal was necessary.

"The planner who worked on the urban project, the designer who worked on the basis of the conditions from the urban project, the chief state architect who approved the conceptual solution, the auditor who controlled the main project, the Directorate for Inspection Affairs of the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism, where the construction application has been completed", said "Coinis".

They also added that with the company "Corner Construction" they also hired structural engineers, architects, and construction engineers and that "after a thorough analysis of the building, they all agreed that there is no safe way to save Vujović's house and underneath it, according to the current DUP , build a mandatory public garage".

"The companies 'Coinis' and 'Corner Construction' are not responsible for the catastrophic condition in which Vujović's house was for several decades and for the great carelessness and negligence that this house suffered and which led to the instability of the building, which confirms the opinion of construction engineers. The assessment of statics is that the building of the Vujović House is unsafe and poses a danger to pedestrians and passers-by who are in the area... The project of the new building was made in such a way that it preserves its original appearance and we will fully retain its recognizable facade," they told "Vijesta".
