The Justice and Reconciliation Party (SPP) announced that any targeting of the Roma people as second-class persons and citizens is "proof of the inferiority and insecurity of the one who does it", adding that identifying one people with a certain occupation is "our social defeat".
SPP said in a statement that "first of all, it is not true", and secondly, it shows "the general social decline we are witnessing".
"Roma and Roma women are our brothers and sisters, our friends, our neighbors and our fellow citizens. Insufficient integration of one nation in society is not the defeat of that nation but of the entire society," the announcement reads.
They add that Romani men and women "are neither less intelligent, nor less capable, nor less honest than other peoples, but in many segments we can learn from them."
"Both Montenegrins, and Serbs, and Bosniaks, and Albanians, and members of all other nations wear orange vests in utility companies, and therefore we do not have the right to identify Roma as a people with orange vests, even though we deeply respect the work that these people of all faiths and nations do , removing behind us the garbage that we uncivilized throw around our houses, buildings, in parks, public areas," the statement of the SPP states.
