Jovanović: I reject allegations about the influence of Abazović or anyone else on the actions of the State Prosecutor's Office

Acting Supreme State Prosecutor (VDT) Maja Jovanović announced today that she rejects allegations about the influence of Prime Minister Dritan Abazović or anyone else on the actions of the State Prosecutor's Office.

"Without the intention of dealing with the motives of media allegations about the actions of the State Prosecutor's Office at the behest of anyone, I use the opportunity to remind public office holders, media workers and the entire public of the fact that, while I am at the head of the State Prosecutor's Organization, the State Prosecutor's Office will continue to issue orders for actions found exclusively in the Constitution and legal regulations," Jovanović pointed out in a statement delivered by the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office (VDT).

She said that she repeats that, as acting VDT, she will not allow any influence on state prosecutors, regardless of the addresses from which such influence attempts come.

"In this regard, I reject media allegations about the influence of the Prime Minister or anyone else on the actions of the State Prosecutor's Office," Jovanović concluded.
