The Protection and Rescue Service of the Capital City of Podgorica announced on Facebook that today at 17.48:XNUMX p.m. it was reported that low and tall vegetation was burning in the town of Bioče.
"Three crews with eight firefighters were dispatched to the scene. When they went to the scene, it was established that it was a large-scale fire. Members of the Service are on the ground and there is currently no danger of the fire spreading to nearby buildings," said the Protection Service and rescue.
They also stated that at 14.31:XNUMX p.m. it was reported to them that low and tall vegetation was burning in the village of Lopate in Piperi.
"Two crews with six firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Members of the Service localized the fire, prevented further spread to nearby buildings and are currently on the ground to fully extinguish the fire," said the Protection and Rescue Service of the Capital City of Podgorica on Facebook.
They also stated that in the past 24 hours they have implemented 13 interventions.
"Out of the stated number, 12 reports related to fires of grass, low and tall vegetation in the following locations: Kokoti, Pelev brijeg, Veruša, Stara Zlatica, Dajbabe, Botun, Pavlovina, Beri, Dajbabe, Piperi, in the Morača canyon and near the aluminum plant . One report related to a cold store affected by fire in the town of Ljajkovići. Other interventions refer to activities within the competence of the Service," stated the Protection and Rescue Service of the Capital City of Podgorica.
