The company "Vodovod i Kanalizacija" Podgorica appealed to citizens to reduce the use of drinking water for the purpose of watering gardens, lawns and filling swimming pools, especially in suburban settlements in order to avoid a drop in pressure in the system.
In the press release of the PG Bureau, it is added that "the control on the ground with the device for measuring the flow, determined the excessive consumption of water in several suburban settlements".
"The inappropriate and irrational consumption of water from the system endangers its functioning, which directly affects the quality of life of a large number of fellow citizens in the months when water is essential for everyone. The society will certainly increase the supervision of inappropriate consumption and irresponsible individuals in cooperation with the authorities of the Capital City and the Municipal Police. Let's be responsible and in solidarity," the announcement added.
In the announcement, they remind that "due to the high temperatures during the summer months in Podgorica, water consumption increases significantly. In accordance with the planned activities, a larger amount of water is pumped out of the system during the summer months in order to ensure an orderly water supply to consumers".
