At the donor dinner in Bijelo Polje on the occasion of the construction of the Hilal humanitarian center, 300.000 euros were collected last night, part of which was in material.
161.600 euros were still missing for the construction of the Hilal Center, so, as announced by the humanitarian organization Hilal, part of the remaining money will be used for the construction of houses for the poor, and part for the renovation of the maternity ward in the Bjelopopja hospital.
The donor evening gathered more than 250 interested donors in the Selektor ceremonial hall in Gubavac, and numerous donations came from abroad.
One of the initiators of the donor evening is the founder of the Hemiias foundation, Hajriz Brčvak, who gathered a large number of donors, some of whom participated live in the humanitarian program.
Welcoming the present guests, the president of the Hilal Foundation, Nusret Erović, explained that another 161.600 euros are needed to complete the works, and that, due to the change in prices on the market, a significantly higher sum is needed than the previously planned 200 euros.
"There were a total of 303 donors in the construction of the Hilal Center in the past period, who provided funds of around 73 thousand euros. Of this amount, 15 euros were used to pay for the building permit, water supply and electricity connection, while 58 were allocated for construction works," Erović said, noting that with the construction works of a building measuring around 500 square meters, it reached other plates.
He recalled the humanitarian mission of Hilal in Bijelo Polje and beyond, which has been helping people for a decade, side by side with the brotherly organization Hemiias.
"As part of the Majlis of the Islamic Community, we have been trying for a full decade to implement Islamic messages on the ground through a practical example on how to help Muslims, as well as other people. We are aware of the times in which we live. The great effort and commitment of all the volunteers gave a picture to the society that together we can do much more and better. This time together we are building a unique endowment in Montenegro, which will always be on the side of those who need help", said Erović, reminding that in the past period the Hilal organization with the Hemiias foundation implemented dozens of humanitarian actions in almost all cities of Montenegro. and the region, where more than 1000 families received help.
The chief imam of the Majlis of the Islamic Community of Bijelo Polje, Enis Efendija Burdžović, welcomed the foundation's humanitarian work, emphasizing the nobility of their intentions, especially Hajji Brčvak, who motivates people of good will to help the construction.
"What we heard before, when we laid the foundation stone a few months ago, is that this fund operates on the principle of volunteerism. Working for years with no space in one van, the Hilal volunteers were not demotivated even a little to stop doing this noble work of helping others. Even now, when they are building the building, they still work as volunteers. So they endow this building, it remains for all generations after them. We are all Hilal, so we will say that we all do it and leave it behind, not to mention the genations, that is, the era when they left waqfs behind, and when it was a rich era. Let's see that alongside the story of confiscated endowments, we have a story of a generation that leaves endowments, but with the noblest intention of Hilal being where it needs to be helped", said Ef. Burdžović.
Hajriz Brčvak thanked the many donors who participated live during the evening and donated money for the construction of the humanitarian center.
"Thank you to everyone who came tonight and who helped build the center, no matter how much money they gave or will give in the future. What to talk about Hilal. You attribute to me many good deeds, sadaqah, I will exchange them all for Hilal's sadaqah. Immediately!" said Brčvak.
