More than 2,5 million euros will be invested in the reconstruction, adaptation and procurement of necessary equipment in the special hospital "Vaso Ćuković" in Risno, it was announced after the meeting between Prime Minister Dritan Abazović and Minister of Health Dragoslav Šćekić with the management and staff of this institution.
As announced by the Ministry of Health, the works will begin after the end of the tourist season, and after visiting the hospital, the Prime Minister and the Minister promised to continue investing in all segments of the health system.
"The health system and its renewal, improvement and improvement remain the main priority of the 43rd Government of Montenegro," said Abazović.
According to the announcement, he expressed his gratitude to the employees of the healthcare system, emphasizing the performance of the Risa hospital, which, as he said, "doubled both the number of surgical procedures and outpatient examinations, which makes healthcare services more accessible to both our citizens and numerous tourists." who reside in our country".
Šćekić, as stated in the announcement, expressed his respect for the management of the Risa hospital and all employees led by Dr. Vlado Popović.
Šćekić also explained how the allocated funds will be invested.
"1,4 million euros will be invested in the reconstruction, half a million in the necessary equipment, while around 250.000 euros will be used for the reconstruction of the road, access road and parking lot of the institution. I also remind you that at the proposal of Prime Minister Abazović, around 350.000 euros have been allocated for the hospital in Risno collected by citizens for the fight against Covid. From those funds, the hospital will purchase a new X-ray machine, as well as a reanomobile, necessary for transporting patients," said Šćekić.
He said that the hospital in Risno was, is now, and will be a brand of the Montenegrin health system, and that the authorities will do everything to improve the working conditions of the employees, but also by solving housing issues to support their stay in the institution they are talking about. the quality of work and reputation is known much wider than the borders of our country, but also of the region.
The director of the Risa hospital, Vlado Popović, said that the conditions created and created by the latest investments will make Montenegro very visible on the map of serious tourist destinations where health tourism will be especially valorized.
