The Podgorica Health Center announced that it does not have the drug Buprenorphine.
The management of the Health Center states that during the regular weekly demand for the mentioned medicine, they received a reply from Montefarm that there is currently no medicine in that institution and that they do not know when it will be available.
"We have also sent several urgent letters to the Ministry of Health, the Health Fund and the Board of Directors to inform them of this problem. As an institution, we only prescribe medicine to the end users, i.e. patients, and do not participate in its procurement and distribution. We hope that very soon , in constant communication with the competent institutions to solve this problem in the shortest possible time, and all for the benefit of our patients," the statement of the Podgorica Health Center states.
Buprenorphine is a drug used to treat opiate addiction.
