They fulfilled their promise on the reconstruction of the Gubavac-Bistrica road, on the stretch "Strabag"

The companies Crnogorski Telekom and "Ramel" have completed their part of the obligations they had on the reconstruction of the Gubavac-Bistrica road, and now the contractor, the company "Štrabag", is on the move.

This was confirmed to "Vijesti" by the president of the local community of Bistrica Sakib Chindrak. Locals have repeatedly blocked the highway Bijelo Polje - Prijepolje, in the town of Gubavac, which is part of the Đalovića Cave valorization project, outraged by the interruption of the reconstruction that was supposed to be completed in September last year.

"As promised, the company "Ramel" has completed the lighting works, and Telekom for the telephone and internet. "Both companies did the work within the stipulated time as we agreed at the meeting in the Capital Projects Administration on August 10," said Čindrak.

The representatives of the local community, the municipality and those companies addressed the Public Works Administration and informed them that the undertaken obligations were completed within the deadline and asked to introduce a contractor into the work, i.e. the company "Štrabag", in order to continue the work on the reconstruction of the road.

Čindrak recalled the meeting in the Capital Projects Administration, which, at the initiative of the Deputy Prime Minister for Regional Development and the Minister of Capital Investments Ervin Ibrahimović, previously organized to overcome the problem.

"At the meeting, the dynamics of performing works on the installation of telecommunication and electrical installations were agreed upon, which is an obligation of Telekom and "Ramel", and which should enable the contractor, "Štrabag", to start performing works on the reconstruction of the road no later than the beginning of September", it was announced. was previously from the Ministry of Capital Investments.

Locals have repeatedly pointed out the conditions they are living in, given that their previous asphalt was completely removed, and the road was dug up and left like that. Damaged cars, dust, destroyed fruit and vegetable plantations are just some of the problems they encountered due to the delay in the implementation of that project.

"The general subcontractor for the reconstruction of the Gubavac-Bistrica road, the company Štrabag, contrary to all construction logic, instead of phased work by section, dug up the asphalt and destroyed the entire road in Bistrica, and everything has been standing like that for two years, which is unimaginable," he pointed out earlier. resident of Bistrica Ljubivoje Ljubo Jaćimović, an electrical engineer working in Russia.

Čindrak said that the locals will not organize protests for the time being because the previous promises have been fulfilled, stressing that the company "Štrabag" is now on the move. At an earlier protest, the locals announced that they would block the roads again and radicalize the protests, if the works were not continued.
