In Bijelo Polje, 1.904 students are enrolled from the first to the fourth grade

In Bijelo Polje, from the first to the fourth grade this school year, 1.904 students were enrolled", the "News" from the Bijelo Polje municipality informed.

"This year too, the Municipality provided school supplies for students up to the fourth grade, for 987 boys and 917 girls," said the Secretary of the Secretariat for Local Administration, Haris Malagić, reminding that since last year the Municipality allocated funds for textbooks from the budget, but that, after the Government's decision to grant free textbooks to primary school students, that money was earmarked for the purchase of school supplies.

Free textbooks for elementary students through the Textbook Institute are available to schools, and will be distributed directly in those institutions.

Sets of books for high school, as well as individual textbooks for other high schools, are available in school bookstores at the same prices as last year, said Vučina Šćekić, manager of the bookstore of the Institute for Textbooks and Teaching Aids in Bijelo Polje.

"For elementary school students, the books are delivered to the schools free of charge, and later they will be distributed to the students. We have received most of the textbooks for secondary schools, while we have sets for high schools. A set of books for the first grade of the high school costs 105,20 euros, for the second grade 88,70 , for a set of books for the third grade, 88,20 euros should be allocated, and for the fourth grade 78,40 euros, the set also comes with an English language book. We also have most of the textbooks for secondary vocational schools," emphasized Šćekić.
