Cancer patients claim that they are left without therapy and that the drugs "Zoladex", "Faslodex" and "Zometa" have not been available for a long time.
Minister of Health Dragoslav Šcekić answered during the visit to the Pljeval hospital that yesterday morning they managed to provide therapy, having collected supplies from all centers, and that during the day they would all be "provided".
"You know the state of the Health Insurance Fund. The previous Government had no feeling, it led to the decimation and jeopardy of the Fund through a populist story. It made a decision to provide 43 million euros for the procurement of medicines, and the Ministry of Finance, headed by Milojko Spajić, did not pay a cent. Until this moment, these three months, we have been performing financial gymnastics so that the health system does not collapse," Šćekić said.
At the end of last week, Montefarma, which is in charge of supplying healthcare institutions with medicines, said that debts constantly make their business more difficult and therefore slow down the timely, quantitatively sufficient procurement and distribution of medicines and medical devices, complicate our cooperation with suppliers, and the end result is a dissatisfied and threatened citizen.
It was announced that the Fund owes them around 26,9 million euros, while long based on last year's Government Conclusion of 12.11.2021/43,16/2022. on the expansion of the Plan for Public Procurement of Medicines is about XNUMX million euros. "We also emphasize that our institution has not yet received payments from the State Treasury based on the above-mentioned Government Conclusion, even though Montefarm, precisely relying on the allocated funds, issued tenders and procured medicines and medical supplies for the needs of citizens until April XNUMX.
