The fire-rescue unit Nikšić received valuable specialist equipment through Operation "Florijan" and the Association of Firefighters of Montenegro.
"We received really valuable equipment that goes into the right hands. Dry suits with vests and shoes for fast water, suits for aggressive substances, mountaineering equipment, thermal imaging camera, cutting tools in traffic accidents, a water basin for filling the helicopter basket, are just part of a valuable donation," said the commander of the Protection and Rescue Service, Slavko Tadić.
On behalf of the Embassy of Great Britain, the equipment was handed over by Deputy Ambassador Steve Eric.
According to the press release, he expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between the Association of Firefighters and Operation "Florijan" and fully supported everything that has been done recently to improve the conditions for the work of firefighters and rescuers in Montenegro.
The event was attended by the vice-president of SO Nikšić Zoran Tomić, the president of the Association of Firefighters of Montenegro Goran Janković, as well as the president of the Professional Association of Firefighters of Montenegro Goran Tripković.
