From September 5 to 15, consumers in Herceg Novi will be without water supply via the Plata, due to the overhaul of energy equipment and inspection of the supply tunnel between the Trebišnjica and Dubrovnik hydroelectric plants.

As announced by the Herceg Novi Waterworks and Sewerage Company, the emptying of the Trebinje-Plat hydrotunnel will begin tonight at 22:15 p.m., and it should be expected by September 12 at 00:XNUMX a.m. at the latest that water will be released in full capacity into the Herceg Novi system, after the mandatory of treatment for the hygienic correctness of drinking water in the "Mojdež" filter station.

For this reason, RTHN reports, the tunnel will be emptied and the flow of water to Herceg Novi will be stopped, from the Plat water station via the pipeline through Konavle.

For the consumer supply system in Herceg Novi, water from local sources will be available until September 15, the most significant share being Opačica, as well as the amount from the Regional Water Supply system.

While the restrictions are in force, the total amount of water available will be 240 liters per second.

As the available quantities of water will not be sufficient for the continuous supply of the entire municipality, all altitude zones, it is necessary to introduce a restrictive regime, with the fact that the settlements of Kamenari and Bijela will be outside of that regime.

The water delivery plan in parts of the municipality will be according to the schedule:

  • For the settlement from Sutorina to Savina from 7:00 a.m. to 09:00 a.m. and from 19:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m.
