During the inspection of 27 swimming pools on the Mala and Velika beach, the Sanitary Inspection found three irregularities in the provision of massage services. Prohibition measures and fines were imposed, this was confirmed to "Vijesta" by Chief Health and Sanitary Inspector Dr. Karmela Mujičić.
"During the supervision of the beach bars, the supervision of the provision of massage services at the swimming pools was also carried out. Sanitary inspectors visited a total of 27 beaches in Ulcinj. "Three irregularities in the provision of massage services on the beaches without approval were found, and measures of banning the performance of the activity and fines were imposed on physical persons in accordance with the law," says the inspector's answer to "Vijesti" questions.
Last Sunday, "Vijesti" published the text "Massage on the black and (or) cover for prostitution", which dealt with the illegal work of masseurs at Ulcinj swimming pools from the point of view of (lack of) knowledge of the profession.
At that time, readers were deprived of the answers of the Administration for Inspections to the questions of whether competent inspections control the work of masseurs on the beaches of Ulcinj, whether the UIP is responsible for issuing work permits, whether work at swimming pools is allowed at all, bearing in mind the strict standards they prescribe laws, does the UIP have a record of how many people perform that work, where do they come from, do they have the appropriate work license or other documentation, how many people have been registered for illegal work, how many fines have been imposed on that basis and in what amounts?
The PR department of the Directorate for Inspection Affairs told "Vijesti" that due to a cyber attack, they were unable to use the system and official e-mails, so they could not answer earlier questions regarding the work of masseurs on the beaches in Ulcinj.
In the meantime, due to the views expressed in the text, physiotherapist Srđan Kuzman from Ulcinj experienced discomfort because a fellow citizen HG sent him a message on Instagram: "Pi..a ti mater, ku..o jena obrazna".
Kuzman reported the case to the police and told the inspectors that he felt threatened after that message. The case has been processed and, as we learn, it is now under the jurisdiction of the Ulcinj Court for Misdemeanors.
As a licensed physiotherapist, but also as a long-term civil activist, Kuzman was one of the interlocutors of "Vijesti" on the topic of illegal provision of massage services at most Ulcinj swimming pools. He then said that there are almost no bathing facilities or hotels in Ulcinj that do not provide this type of service and asserted that most of them are fronts for prostitution.
"It is completely logical when you look at the astronomical prices of those services. For a chocolate massage, which can only be adequately performed in SPA centers, which even laymen know, you need to allocate 55 euros. That is five euros more than the cost of one full day in Igalo with sleep, breakfast, lunch and dinner and three or five massages, performed by experienced professionals. Should we add something there", stated, among other things, Kuzman.
He stated that a uniform is necessary to perform this activity, and that "some of these girls massage barefoot and in dresses, shorts or bikinis".
"There is no 'p' for professionalism, but often no 'z' for knowledge."
Kuzman told "Vijesta" that he was traumatized and that immediately after receiving the message, he stopped work and canceled all scheduled appointments.
The president of the Chamber of Physiotherapists of Montenegro, Nataša Matković, came to the defense of her colleague.
"It is time to put an end to the gray zone, abuse of the profession, false representation and degradation of the most humane calling, which enables the recovery and rehabilitation of patients. I want to convey a strong message of unity and determination, because we are all Srđan Kuzman", she said, among other things.
