The police department and the prosecutor's office are investigating the blasting at the construction site in Gorica near the Partizan fighter monument.
This was unofficially confirmed to "Vijesta" yesterday in the Police Directorate.
On Saturday, the construction inspection closed the construction site for a multi-story building on the hill of Gorica, after citizens reported a strong earthquake caused by blasting, and material damage to some nearby houses.
Citizens are collecting signatures against the construction of a multi-story building, and as they announced on Saturday, they will deliver the petition to the special state prosecutor.
From the company "Eurozox", the investor of the multi-storey building in Gorica, they told "Vijesta" yesterday that the Construction Inspection has closed the construction site until they review all the documentation.
One of the owners, Zoran Drobnjak, he repeated yesterday in a statement that the company has all the necessary permits for construction, and that they carried out the controlled blasting on Saturday in accordance with the regulations.
"We previously reported the blasting to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP), but also announced it to our neighbors in the immediate vicinity. When it comes to possible damage, the case is now with the prosecutor and, if he deems it necessary, he will hire an expert, who will assess the possible damage. We do not shy away from paying for any damage, if it is proven that there is any damage", said Drobnjak, emphasizing once again that the company did not make any move without the necessary permits from all state and local authorities.
Since June, citizens and locals have been complaining in various ways about the construction of this multi-story building in Gorica.
The company "Eurozox" announced this summer that they are ready for negotiations and that they previously proposed three others to the Capital City for the plot on which they are planning to build, but that the city authorities refused.
They accused the administration of the Capital City of illegally billing them for utilities for the future facility for several months, in violation of the law. They consider it illogical that the Capital City, as an investor, first allowed them to complete the plot, only for representatives of the city authorities to protest against construction on that location.
The investors then pointed out that the construction would not have happened if the Capital City had not sold them the plot, with which they completed the plot in June 2020.
At the time, the PG bureau told "Vijesta" that they offered investors urban plots owned by the Capital City and on which residential and residential-business facilities are planned.
"Eurozox" and Mladen Milutinović from Podgorica, right next to the protected zone of Gorica, on cadastral plots 2280/9, 2280/12 (urban planning plot 8) and plot 2155/1 (cadastral municipality Podgorica II), they are building a residential building with a gross area of over 2.000 square meters.
