Due to the urgency of procurement of oncological, specific and other currently missing drugs, Montefarm announced a negotiation procedure on Monday, September 26, for which slightly more than ten million euros was secured.

As stated by this institution, the opening of bids is scheduled for October 03rd at 12 noon, where the deadline for submission of mandatory documentation is eight days from the date of submission of the final bid.

"After carrying out the procedures, we will proceed with the withdrawal of the necessary quantities in accordance with the legal deadline and start their distribution on the same day, depending on the dynamics of the arrival of offers and the course of the procedure itself".

Montefarm claims that the specifications for the publication of the procurement procedures on the CEJN portal were ready for almost a month, but it was impossible to implement them because it was not functioning.

"Simply put, while the Montenegrin electronic public procurement platform was not active due to recent hacker attacks, Montefarm did not have the possibility to initiate public procurement procedures. As we have clarified several times, the procurement of this group of medicines is not easy for several reasons, but despite complicated tender procedures and occasional difficulties in the procurement itself, Montefarm is maximally dedicated to its basic task - to ensure continuity in the delivery of this group of drugs and drugs in general," the announcement reads.

They also add that in order to carry out additional purchases, which would enable a stable supply of medicines and medical devices until the end of the current year, it is necessary to provide additional funds through the announced budget rebalancing.
